Steps to follow to a correct washing:
1) SORTING GARMENTS.
Separated garments in function of colours and dirtiness: garments very dirty and not very dirty. Wash separately white garments and light colours, from coloured or dark garments. If you wash garments inside out, you will protect better the colour and the garment will not wear out so much. Remember dark and patterned garments used to fade easily, as if you include a bit of vinegar on rinsed water, you will get fix colours a bit more. In case of coloured garments washing, try to use washing powder without bleach.
2) READ CAREFULLY GARMENT LABELS
To see the maximum temperature and garment admits what kind of washing (by hand, by washing machine or dry cleaning). You can consult a guide of symbols on our chemises here.
3) CHOOSE ADEQUATE WASHING PROGRAM AND TEMPERATURES .
Temperature, washing program and centrifugation vary in function of garments composition. Natural fabrics as wood, linen or silk shrink being washed at too much temperature and going out of shape with centrifugation or hanging vertically. Artificial and synthetic fabrics are highly sensible to hot so they have to be washed with tepid water, ironed in low temperature and inside out.
White garments usually are washed in hot water though our recommendation is washing chemises with cold water. Bleach wears out quickly; it is for that we do not recommend the use of bleacher products. If you use it to keep soak garments, try to not keep more than one hour.
4) DOSE CORRECTLY WASHING POWDER .
Overdosing damages garments, the environment and, besides, a bad washing powder´s dissolution can cause spots on garments. Do not fill excessively washing machine: the excess of charge because garments will not be clean enough.
If cleaning by hand, it is recommended using liquid washing powder in little quantity, without either putting on soak or wringing out. Try to distribute washing powder well to not leave spot on garments. Do not rub either collars or cuffs; since it is better use any product without corrosive agents like spray or roll-on on the pre-washed.
5) DRY WASHING.
Centrifugation and direct exposition to Sun during drying tend to compress garments. After washing by washing machine, it is better hang immediately as leaving washing a lot of time on the washing machine can cause smell and humidity on the garments.
